«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 261 of 261"But now is the time to sing the song entitled, 'The Undiscovered Universe'"
"Its first line says "An undiscovered universe lies within that no one can see; It is filled with light so sacred, the materials of eternity."
Bishop asked, "So you too are related to the Kildares from long ago?"
"Yes," said Ian, "we have known about our Kildare line, but we never thought it important until we heard about Kildare Hollow."
Suddenly a familiar melody came upon my lips; without realizing my own actions, I began to softly hum its' tune.
For as far back as I can remember this tune played in my mind;I'd often hum it to console myself in times of struggle.
Ian's eyes widened as he said,"Bishop...that melody...that melody you are humming is The Undiscovered Universe!"
I continued to hum this melody, as I had done so often in the past, not knowing why, only with a deep need, and as I did, Ian quietly sang the words.
Ian continued from where I left off with "Things we only talk about in hallowed halls,in secret places, dreams, prayer and beneath the shawls."
"Our universe we cannot completely see, and feel things we cannot say; we stand helpless amidst the movements of our souls, and hope for that which is unknowable for now."
And then we started over with the first line, both of us blending our voices with rich, pure and complementary tones with these,oh, so familiar words, "An undiscovered universe lies within that no one can see; It is filled with light so sacred, the materials of eternity."
I wondered when we would sing, who would be there, what Kildare Hollow, Bram, Mia and Dr. Fischer had to do with it, and if others would join this sacred family ode.
And Zachary, my friend, would have to be a vital part, and our dear invisible Emme.
I felt from the deepest level of my being that all of us would move forward togehter.
As Ian and I sang, the music stirred a pure and brilliant knowing from my heart; a movement had begun.
For the first time in my life I was unafraid of the unknown.
I embraced the music and the moment, and never before have I felt more free.
Ian seemed quite pleased with our progress, " I think we should call it a day," he said.
"Bishop, will I see you tommorrow?"
"I'd like to see you, but I'd first like to ask the Kildares what this is all about, if they know, and then we can do the right things."
Zachary suddenly appeared with Emme behind him and said, "Ian and Bishop, we're having a family meeting in the Project Grotto at Kildare Hollow, and we'd like both of to be there, for everyone will be there, and all will be revealed at that time."
"This meeting will be tomorrow morning at 10:00 A.M.; so, Bishop, let's go back to the Hollow to get some rest, and we'll all gather there in the morning."
"And, of course, we'll have a piano there."
I said goodbye to Ian, and Zachary and I were soon on our way back to the Hollow.
Emme strolled along with us for a while, and I sensed that Zachary and she were eager for tomorrow.
Their expression could not hide it; they were grinning from ear to ear.
I was hoping that Emme would join us for supper, but when we were half-way to Kildare Hollow she said that she was needed elsewhere; in a flash she was gone.
I couldn't stand the suspence, so I begged for the tiniest hint of what was to come, "Come on Zachary...what gives...don't make me wait until morning."
"Bishop, you and I have experienced some extraordinary things."
I saw that Zachary's face and eyes were glowing like amber, and I wondered what was ahead of us for him to be like this.
Zachary continued, "Some people's lives are meant for greatness, or for something extra, extra special."
"Emme's influence, your friendship, my parents, and the light that grows ever so brighter for me, gives me joy and hope for the future."
As he said this, he looked away slightly with a pleased interest, as if he were seeing something beyond our present circumstances.
And then he said, "Tomorrow the Smythe and Kildare families and others are going to meet in the Project Grotto to hear you and Ian sing the family song with voices of angels."
"You'll be joined by other vocal virtuosos from around the area to sing that song, plus others."
"And, Bishop, we found your father and mother in a remote island location far off the coast of North America, and we have brought them here to join our family."
"They escaped from world of war and have sought to find you, and now they have with our help."
"Tomorrow you will see them in the grotto and be glad, and then we will present our grand project called Project Generation."
Zachary's words were alot to digest.
At first I felt a strong guilt for having lied about my parents, but it quickly washed away with happiness and anticipation that we would soon be reunited.
Until this moment, I hadn't thought much about leaving my parents behind.
My sole focus was my facelessness; I didn't want to exist in a world of terror, violence, and war.
For me it was better to not exist at all; yet inside me I still had hope that MY world would be better.
My hope has been replaced with a far stronger possibility, and I can hardly wait for morning to come!
Life without purpose is faceless
...and I sense that tomorrow, a greater purpose will be shown.
Just as I was about to fall peacefully asleep, "Project Generation" swirled in my mind.
My dreams were filled with dazzling light and harmonious melodies; but somewhere near morning, that peacefulness was broken by fear and dread, as I startled awake.
I woke up shaking, but whatever it was in my dreams that scared me was only a dim glimmer.
"I'm probably just anxious about what Project Generation is," I tried to assure myself.
